Equipping a Via Ferrata or Adventure Park: What Operators Need

Operators of via ferrata routes, ropes courses and zip lines buy equipment in volume and use it intensively. Planning the full equipment set up front simplifies training, inspection and replacement.

1. Visitor kits

A typical via ferrata visitor kit combines a helmet, harness, energy-absorbing lanyard, continuous-belay connector and locking (K-lock) carabiners. Camnal supplies this configuration for visitors at Qixing Mountain in Zhangjiajie.

2. Harnesses sized for every guest

Choose harnesses with wide adjustment ranges and clear colour coding. The CAQHA02 comes in a children’s S size (waist 58–110 cm) and adult L size (waist 60–154 cm); the CAQHAC032 sit harness fits waists from 40 to 120 cm.

3. Rescue equipment

Every site needs a rescue plan and equipment kept ready for use. An integrated via ferrata rescue kit lets trained staff set up a rescue system quickly.

4. Zip-line and transport pulleys

Specify pulleys and trolleys matched to your cable and expected cycle count, and plan regular inspection.

5. Helmets

Ventilated helmets with a quick rear size adjustment, such as the CAQHT02/01, fit many head sizes (51–62 cm) and can be cleaned easily between guests.
